A concise first record.
Capalith indexes complete skill bundles from local directories and Git branches or tags. Agents can search them with keyword and local semantic retrieval, inspect stored files, and follow declared relationships.
I built the catalog, search, and MCP server so agents can find skills while their host stays in control of loading and activation. The public alpha includes agent-led setup and refresh, with no background service.
My contribution

- Built local and Git source indexing with versioned skill snapshots
- Combined SQLite keyword search with local semantic ranking
- Implemented stored-file inspection and bounded relationship traversal
- Shipped the CLI and MCP server with agent-led setup and refresh
